Making a Joyful Sound to the Lord
” My heart, O God, is steadfast, my heart is steadfast; I will sing and make music. ” – Psalm 57:7
Music At St. Margaret’s
For many, the express route to an encounter with God is through music. At St. Margaret’s, our hope and expectation is to encounter God also in the eyes, hearts, and voices of all those with whom we make music-whether in the pew or in one of the music groups. It is an expectation born of joyful experience, and a hope kindled by the Holy Spirit. All are heartily invited to listen, learn, sing, and serve in the music-making at St. Margaret’s. Does worship take flight when you sing? Are you looking for a warm, close-knit community, committed to high standards in making music together? Are you an enthusiastic listener? A lover of hymns? One who longs to sing praise to the Lord? There is something here for you. Come, seek, and sing!

St. Margaret’s Jazz Compline is a peaceful and restful Sunday evening service that helps you reflect on the day and prepare for the night. Accompanied by jazz quartet, it combines the traditional Episcopal end-of-day plainsong liturgy with jazz harmonization, moving you into a thoughtful place for reflection and worship.
