Clergy

“The gifts He gave were that some would be apostles, some prophets, some evangelists, some pastors and teachers, to equip the saints for the work of ministry, for building up the body of Christ.” Ephesians 4:11-12

The clergy make their own appointments.  To make an appointment call the church office and talk directly to the person you wish to see or leave a message on his/her voice mail.

Chris grew up in Grove City, PA.  Although she felt a calling to ordained ministry as a child, she took a circuitous route to seminary.  First she pursued a career as a professional library administrator and college English teacher, which took her to Ohio, Montana, Illinois, and back to Pennsylvania.  In Illinois, after becoming part of an Episcopal church and falling in love with its liturgy, she was confirmed as an Episcopalian.  Over the years, she regularly taught Christian education classes, advised youth groups, sang in choirs, and served as a lay leader for worship in local churches.  Chris studied at the General Theological Seminary of the Episcopal Church in New York City and has served churches in Brooklyn Heights, NY, and Middletown, PA.  Before coming to St. Margaret’s, she was the Rector of St. Luke’s Episcopal Church in Altoona, PA.  Chris and her husband Rick have two grown daughters, and they share their house in Bellevue with a dog and cat (Malcolm and Clancy).  Rick is a retired Navy Reserve officer who worked for many years in corporate and retail sales.
