Faith in Action

“Faith in action is love – and love in action is service.” – Mother Theresa

Saint Margaret’s advocates for underserved women and children, affordable housing, and refugee resettlement, and works to end hunger, food insecurity, and homelessness. Where we are called, we go gladly.

Congregations for Kids

Congregations for Kids, a coalition of local congregations, helps students from low income families within the Bellevue, Washington School District have a good start back to school. Partnering with the school district, Eastside businesses, and community organizations, we equip these students with backpacks and supplies needed for the school year. For more information, please visit congregations4kids.org .

Faith Action Network

St. Margaret’s is a member of Faith Action Network, a statewide interfaith advocacy group through which thousands of people and over 150 faith communities all across Washington partner for the common good.  FAN’s mission is to strive for a just, compassionate and sustainable world through community building, education and public action. Parishioners participate in FAN events, such as the annual  Advocacy Day in Olympia, and meeting with legislators to address critical social issues.  FAN members believe that justice work is part of our religious calling. For more information, please visit fanwa.org .

Fanikia Foundation

Educate A Girl is the principle focus of the Fanikia Foundation. Our mission is to promote and support community-based education for underprivileged girls and women in Tanzania. Our main goal is to provide access to quality education, as well as improve the health and well being of students in hard to reach rural schools in Tanzania. For more information, please visit fanikiafoundation.org .

The Giving Tree

Each holiday season, Saint Margaret’s requests Christmas wish lists from programs that serve at-risk children in our community. Donors choose an ornament depicting a child’s first name, age, gender, and wished-for gift starting at $10. The donor attaches the ornament as the gift tag and returns it to their church or workplace.

Mission to Seafarers

St. Margaret’s supports the Mission to Seafarers at Seattle Seafarers Center by providing transportation, sewing ditty bags, knitting hats, and assembling hygiene kits for delivery at Christmas time.
