Youth Ministries
St. Margaret's is a hub for a variety of exciting ministry and spiritual development opportunities for teenagers. Youth gather on Sunday evenings from 5 to 7 for The Mix, a
time to make friends, have fun, eat food and be involved in a variety of activities - from community service projects to movie nights to frank discussions on important religious
questions.
The 1010 is our educational hour on Sunday mornings (at, well, 10:10) where kids converse with members of the St. Margaret's community about a variety of issues related to what
it means to be an Episcopalian Christian in their own context.
Fuzion Lounge is a nonprofit cafe, currently open on the first Wednesday of every month during the school year from 12:30 to 3 p.m.: cheap food and open space for high schoolers to hang out, play video
games, do homework and have fun.
Audio Daydream, our youth band, is our very own "School of Rock" where teen musicians learn to play popular music with spiritual themes - everything from the Black Eyed Peas to
Bob Marley - and perform regularly in worship and at other St. Margaret's events.
We're truly committed to forming young leaders, so our youth are also involved in all aspects of our church's liturgical life, and participate regularly in community service
events addressing social and environmental issues, including annual mission trips and learning pilgrimages to locations like New Orleans, the Yakama Nation, and San Francisco.
