Spiritual Growth

Adult spiritual growth is a core value.St. Margaret's offers a wide range of options to help in the life long process of growing spiritually. We recognize the need at any age to feed the mind as well as the soul with good teaching, and to provide an opportunity for deepening our relationship with God through the gifts of the Spirit.

At St. Margaret's we have learned that this can happen a number of different ways and we provide a wide range of spiritual growth opportunities. A listing of Sunday morning and midweek offerings follows. Information is also available about the sacraments.

Spiritual Growth for All Ages

Other Opportunities for Adults

Journey in Faith

Spiritual Gifts Workshop

Cursillo Retreat Weekends
Cursillo is a renewal movement open to any baptized Christian who desires to grow spiritually and explore their role as a leader. More information is available in the Cursillo section of the Diocese of Olympia Website. If you would like to attend a Cursillo weekend, contact the church office about obtaining a sponsor.

Education for Ministry (EFM)
EFM is a program developed by the Sewanee School of Theology of the University of the South and offered at St. Margaret's. Students sign up one year at a time for this four-year program. EFM covers the basics of a theological education in the Old and New Testaments, church history, liturgy, and theology. Students meet regularly, usually once a week, in seminars under the guidance of trained mentors. More information is available on the EFM page of the Sewanee Website. Contact Missy Couch if you're interested in this education opportunity.

Spiritual Direction
Spiritual Direction is an ancient ministry, a unique relationship in which a trained person assists another in the search for an ever-closer union of love with God. For information, contact the Rev. Christie Demura.

Small Group Ministry
Small groups at St. Margaret's are a great way to make friends and grow together in your spiritual journey. New groups are constantly being formed. Visit the small groups page for more information about specific groups.
