Youth Ministry

“Don’t let anyone look down on you because you are young, but set an example for the believers in speech, in conduct, in love, in faith and in purity.”1 Timothy 4:12

The youth ministry of Saint Margaret’s is an energetic and passionate group of students and adult volunteers who care deeply about each other and their community. It is our goal as a youth ministry to cultivate a safe environment that gives youth grades 6-12 room to build community with each other, explore questions related to their faith and life, and grow in the love and knowledge of Jesus Christ.

The 10th Hour Youth Group

We meet every Sunday morning at 10:10 a.m. in the youth room for discussion + donuts + prayer. There we discuss significant topics found in culture, scripture, and our church and wonder together about their meaning and application in our everyday lives. Middle school and high school students are separate for some activities and discussions.

*Please Note: We take a brief hiatus during the summer months (June through August) and resume our normal schedule in September.

Monthly Activities

Monthly Activities include weekend service projects and fun activities. To learn more, contact Rev. Tasy, Rector.

Pilgrimages and Retreats

Yearly pilgrimages are important trips for our youth as it gives them an opportunity to see the Body of Christ at work in the world outside their own communities. By expanding their world views, encountering new places and ministries, the youth come home with renewed hearts for service and a wider perspective of the Kingdom of God. Also, each quarter we attend the diocesan retreats HYC (for high school students) and JYC (for junior high school students).

To see the full range of activities and service opportunities offered, contact Rev. Tasy, Rector, for more information and to be added to our weekly newsletter update.
