Adult Education in February

Dr. Rick Steele’s “Christian Resistance to State Oppression” will continue on Sunday, February 17 and 24, examining the lives of Christians from past ages whose religious convictions put them on a collision course with their governments.  Learn about Maximus the Confessor (c. 580–662), a Byzantine theologian; Thomas More (1478-1535), an English statesman who had risen to the very highest position in the government of King Henry VIII; and Andre Trocmé (1901-1971), a French Protestant pastor who, during World War II, led the people of Le Chambon sur Lignon, a small town in the French Alps, in resisting the genocidal policies of Nazi Germany and Vichy France.
